MAP:  Land concessions "for peace" have only brought more insecurity to the State of Israel.  Gaza is a terror statelet, and the Sinai is a wild west full of jihadists after Egypt lost military control over the vast territory.  The US, EU and UN keep pushing Israel to give up even more land for a Palestinian State, in the secret hope that there will be a tipping point where Israel will be overwhelmed by terror.
The solution is for the kingdom of Jordan to absorb the Palestinian population (many of whom had Jordanian passports) now in Judea and Samaria.  Jordan already has a majority Palestinian population.  Jordan is Palestine.

In spite of its army and its nukes, the state of Israel is surprisingly fragile.  Israelis keep an eye on their genocidal neighbors, and also on demographic data because those figures could be the most likely cause of the Jewish state's demise.
There are almost 9 million people in Israel.  Of these about 75% are regarded as ethnic Jews, and about 20% Muslims.  The rest is a mix of Christians, Druze, and others.  That looks like a solid Jewish majority, but the numbers don't tell the whole story.

US STATE DEPARTMENT A SERIAL BLUNDERER IN MIDDLE EAST POLICY - Its bias has been so intense that it does not mind going against common sense and even the interests of the American people - It encouraged and supported the now disastrous ARAB SPRING. - After World War II it knowingly hired NAZI CRIMINALS to help fight the Cold War

  • If the State Department were an employee, it would be fired.  And with such a horrendous record it would be unable to get a job anywhere.
  • Rather than clueless, the State Department has deliberately exercised outright deceit to encourage deleterious acts and policies that facilitate its long-term agenda, regardless of the best interests of the United States.
  • The State Department is infamous for having hired Nazi criminals after the Second World War.  Their anti-Semitic ideological heritage is felt to this day.
  • The State Department maintains a consulate in the Arab populated area of Jerusalem to help and service Arabs almost exclusively.  American Jews find it hard to avail themselves of services there.  The US does not recognize Jerusalem as being part of Israel.
  • The following column lists some of the State Department's most egregious blunders in its Middle East policies.

The State Department – A Systematic Blunderer

A review of the mistaken analyses and erroneous conclusions of the US State Department with respect to the Middle East region.

1. THE ARAB SPRING - In 2011, the Department of State welcomed (and encouraged) the Arab tsunami which has displaced millions of people and murdered hundreds of thousands – and keeps raging – as an Arab Spring, youth revolution, Facebook revolution and a transition towards democracy.
2. LYBIA'S REGIME CHANGE - In 2011, the State Department recommended the toppling of Gaddafi in Libya, in spite of Gaddafi’s transfer of Libya’s nuclear infrastructure to the US in 2003, and irrespective of his fierce battle against Islamic terrorism. The toppling of the ruthless Gaddafi transformed Libya into the largest, lawless platform of Islamic terrorism in the Middle East, spilling over into Africa, Europe and the rest of the world, severely undermining the US national and homeland security.

THERE WAS NEVER A COUNTRY CALLED WEST BANK or Palestine - THE ORIGIN OF THE ISRAELI OCCUPATION MYTH, by legal expert Dr Howard Grief - The problem of national BETRAYAL by the Israeli elite

  • There was never a country called West Bank.
  • There was never a Palestinian people, only Arab clans originating from the Muslim occupation of the Middle East.
  • Israel is in the ancient Jewish land of Judea and Samaria, as evidenced by history books and the Bible.
  • Modern Israel comprises the area of the ancient Jewish kingdoms of Israel and Judea, most of it liberated from Jordan in 1967 - today generally misnamed "occupied Palestinian territory".
    Judea and Samaria
Jordan (originally called Transjordan) was a country ILLEGALLY created by the British in what was recognized by the League of Nations as the land of the Jewish people.
  • After the Roman Empire conquest in the first century AD, Israel was subsequently occupied by the Arabs from the Arabian peninsula, and by the Turks of the Ottoman Empire, and finally, after World War I, by the British Empire as part of the League of Nations Mandate for Palestine.
  • The land was renamed Palestine by the Romans, in order to erase all memory of Judea and Samaria and the Jews, the majority of whom were enslaved, or slaughtered, or dispersed through the world.  A few did remain, however, in the city of Jerusalem and other areas of the country.
  • The Romans eventually failed in their attempt, as the Bible became known world-wide, demonstrating ancient Jewish roots and ownership of the land.
  • After two thousand years of persecution and genocide, the Jews reconstituted their country in 1948.
  • But the enemies of the Jews haven't given up, as they now call the area 'Palestine'.
  • Unfortunately, many enemies of Israel are Jews themselves, as the following article illustrates.
  • There is a mix of Marxists, socialists, anarchists, globalists, and anti-Semites in Israeli society, particularly in the media, academia, and the judicial and political system - all of them Jewish.
  • Not every Jew lives proudly in Israel.  Some are descendants of European Jews who, before the Nazis came to power, had tried so hard to assimilate and discard their Jewish heritage to become true Europeans
  • Others are infected by leftist ideology, and thus embrace the same Arabs who want to kill Jews and destroy their country.
  • They have wholeheartedly embraced the Palestinian cause and do everything in their power to undermine Israel's legitimacy and viability.
  • You have heard about bad Jews such as George Soros.  Israel has that sort of Jews too, and have cause incalculable damage to the country.  Soros himself has been funding subversive organizations in Israel.
  • They are extremely influential, and much more so as they receive support and often considerable funding from anti-Semites in the European Union, mostly through foreign NGOs (non-governmental organizations), of which there are about 400 in Israel.
  • The US State Department - no matter who is in the presidency - wages its own diplomatic war against Israel from its consulate in the Arab-occupied part of Jerusalem.
  • Obama is said to have instigated a recent United Nations resolution condemning construction in Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem. This has brought to the forefront once again the issue of Israel's legal sovereignty and ownership of the land.
  • Every fatal decision that has undermined Israel was originated by one or a few individuals, but supported by many others with influence in the country because of ignorance, lack of vision, intimidation by those in power in Israel and abroad, and in some instances, to further their own malevolent agenda to weaken Israel.
  • The late Dr Howard Grief, author of this column, was Israel's most prominent expert on international law as it pertains Israeli legitimate ownership of Judea and Samaria, known by Israel's enemies as 'west bank'.

The Origins of
the Occupation Myth

By Dr. Howard Grief

Israel is always unjustly condemned by the United Nations as an occupier of “Arab land” in regard to Judea, Samaria and Gaza.
This condemnation that has no basis in either fact or law. This pernicious myth has provided the UN with the necessary pretext to intervene constantly in the internal affairs of these Jewish lands.
Astonishing as it may seem, this myth was created by Israel’s own legal establishment: (1) the Supreme Court; (2) the Attorney-General’s Office; (3) the Ministry of Justice; (4) the International Law section of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and (5) the Law faculties of Israel’s universities.

The individual who bore the greatest responsibility for this myth was Meir Shamgar.  Shamgar was Military Advocate-General from 1961 to 1968, and later the Attorney-General of Israel and the President of the Supreme Court.
He was behind the decision made by Levi Eshkol’s National Unity Government during the Six Day War to apply not Israeli law but the laws of war to all the liberated Jewish territories, namely, the Hague Regulations of 1907 and the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949.
This application was completely inappropriate given the historical connection of these territories to the Jewish People and their legal inseparability from the Jewish National Home.

BRITISH BETRAYAL OF THE JEWISH PEOPLE - WHY did Britain fight so hard to prevent the rebirth of ISRAEL? - BOOK REVIEW "THE RAPE OF PALESTINE" - Britain continues to this day to fund and empower Palestinian Arabs determined to eventually exterminate Jews and dismantle Israel

  • Although historians and popular culture tend to lay most of the blame for the Holocaust on German Nazis, in fact the Nazis counted on the collaboration of many nations in Europe and elsewhere in the genocide of Jews.
  • The slaughter of six million Jews was a collaborative international effort.
  • After 1945  the supposedly de-Nazified German government has led to this day an active movement to undermine Israel, and to support and fund the Palestinian Arabs.  And so have other EU governments.
  • Europeans have contracted out the Arabs for the completion of what Hitler left undone.
  • An empowered Palestinian Arab population with a state of their own, and a weakened and shrunk Israel is the insidious formula for Holocaust Part II - and they all know it.
  • The British have always been intensely anti-Semitic and, although they've been lauded for playing such a key role in resisting and fighting the Nazis, they endeavored to keep Jews out of Britain AND Palestine during the war, thereby ensuring that they would be slaughtered by the Germans in the millions.
  • Image result for images BRITISH REFUGEE CAMPS FOR JEWSAfter the end of World War II the British even imprisoned Holocaust survivors for years in refugee camps behind barbed wire, to make sure they did not return to their ancestral land in Israel.  (See photo on the right.)
  • To this day the British and the rest of Europe enthusiastically sympathize with the genocidal Palestinian Arabs who, by the way, were close allies of Hitler.
  • As Britain continues to be colonized by Muslims, its foreign policy is bound to get even more anti-Israel.
  • The British Labour Party is blatantly anti-Semitic.  It is headed by a self-hating Jew, and supported by the anti-Semitic left and the UK Muslim population.
  • Whatever our personal views on the conflict, we should remember that it is NOT between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs, but between Jews and Muslims, and between tiny Israel and 1.7 BILLION Muslims.
  • Jews have been persecuted and massacred by Muslims for 14 centuries, long before the reconstituted State of Israel.
  • Israel's three major defensive wars for survival (48, 67, 73) were between a few million Jews (six million at the last census) and a coalition of Arab countries representing hundreds of millions of genocidal Muslims.
The British betrayal of the Jewish people

By Abu Yehuda (Vic Rosenthal)

Even after the war, when the evil consequences of its policies should have been clear, when Germany herself began to recognize her obligation to what was left of the Jewish people, Britain continued to fight against the establishment of a Jewish state, battling attempts to resettle Jewish refugees, even arming and providing military advisors to the Arab armies that in 1948 tried to finish the job Hitler started.
Today the “discovery” of Jew-hatred among British politicians, particularly in the Labour Party, is news. But the relationship of the Jews to Albion, since the citizens of York wiped out their Jewish community in 1190, hasn’t been smooth.
Recently, I read a review by Sheree Roth of a neglected 1938 book, William B. Ziff’s      The Rape of Palestine.  (Posted on this page further on.)
Although Roth is primarily concerned with the (very important and persuasive) evidence in Ziff’s book refuting the Arab claim to be the “original” or “indigenous” inhabitants of the Land of Israel, the book is primarily concerned with the history of the British Mandatory power over Palestine.
The British betrayal of the Jewish people must be reckoned as one of the great crimes of the 20th century. Entrusted with the Mandate to ultimately make possible a Jewish National Home, Britain instead fought its realization tooth and nail, ultimately becoming complicit in the Nazi Holocaust.
Everyone knows about the series of White Papers issued by the Mandatory Government, which progressively limited Jewish immigration, culminating in the MacDonald White Paper of 1939 which – just as the furnaces of the Holocaust were about to be lit – effectively closed the doors of Palestine to Jews and doomed millions to destruction.
But Ziff explains how, long before 1939, British authorities used every bureaucratic device possible to reduce the number of Jews allowed into the country, while completely overlooking the uncontrolled immigration of Arabs who flocked in to take advantage of the jobs created by the Zionists. “Illegal” Jews were hunted down and punished.

ISRAEL AND PALESTINE, A BRIEF STORY OF TWO STATES, one a successful one, the other mired in hate, violence, and corruption unable to take off the ground

Some people just can't be helped

By Vic Rosenthal

When the Zionists began to build the yishuv, the enterprise that would become the Jewish state, they had to develop an economy, a political system, an army for defense, a legal system, an educational system, a transportation network, a postal service, and countless other things.
They got help, first from wealthy benefactors like Montefiore and Rothschild, and later – when they needed to resettle hundreds of thousands of often penniless refugees from the Holocaust and, later, from the Muslim world – from organized appeals in the Diaspora.
In a highly controversial arrangement, Holocaust survivors in Israel also received billions as reparations from Germany (the state also received several hundreds of millions).
The Jews created cooperative enterprises in every economic sphere which enabled them to pull themselves up by their bootstraps, despite a war of independence in which they lost 1% of their population, and massive immigration.
Later they surprised the world by repeatedly defeating their more numerous enemies, and little by little transformed their economy to a more entrepreneurial model. Today Israel, despite the challenges, is a remarkable success, economically, socially and culturally. Not perfect, but still a remarkable success.
Despite what people think, Israel does not receive non-military aid from the US, and only modest amounts of money from Diaspora charities. Indeed, many Israelis think we can and should end the military aid, which comes with many strings attached.
Now let’s look at another group that ostensibly aspires to a state, the ‘Palestinians’.
Take the Gaza Strip, with 1.8 million residents, 72% of them with refugee status, wards of the international dole. There is no economy to speak of, except that created by UNRWA which feeds and educates its population with funds provided primarily by the US and Europe, and Hamas, which manufactures rockets, digs attack tunnels and prepares for war.
This population is rapidly growing; it is expected to reach 2.1 million by 2020, with a fertility rate of 4.2 children per woman (a conservative estimate). For comparison, the fertility rate among Arabs in Judea and Samaria is only 2.8. 21% of Gazans are between the ages of 15 and 24, and 64% under 25.
This huge ‘youth bulge’ combined with a lack of employment, is a guarantee of continued violence. And it is all paid for by the West, which, through UNRWA’s welfare policies, incentivizes Gazans to have children. Welfare costs for Palestinians increase every year, along with the population.
The West went along with Arab demands to prevent any resettlement of ‘Palestinian refugees’ and the UN granted refugee status to anyone who lived in pre-state Palestine for as little as two years – and to all their descendents in perpetuum, something done for no other refugee population.
99% of UNRWA employees are Palestinians, and the curriculum in UNRWA schools is aimed at keeping alive the narrative of Arab dispossession and dishonor that fuels the conflict. UNRWA does not ameliorate the conflict, it nourishes it.
Consider also the Arabs of Judea and Samaria, the great majority of whom live under the control of the Palestinian Authority. The PA, like UNRWA, is totally dependent on American and European money.
The PA burns through most of the more than $1 billion a year it receives on corruption and its multiple ‘security forces’ (which sometimes engage in terrorism).
It also disburses large payments to the families of prisoners in Israeli jails for security offenses, and to families of ‘martyrs’, including suicide bombers. The PA and its official media continue to incite violence and murder of Jews, and treat terrorists as heroes.
Large monopolies, like cement and telecommunications are in the hands of PA insiders. Crime is rampant and economic activity is stunted.
Both Israel and the Palestinians received injections of capital from abroad. Israel used it to help build the infrastructure of a state, and turn her refugees into productive citizens.
The Palestinian Arab leaders stole much of the money, nurtured their people’s hatred and created a permanent class of stateless refugees as an army to fight Israel. Indeed, even if a Palestinian state were created in the territories, the refugees would not be welcome in it, because according to Palestinian dogma, the only way to stop being a refugee is to ‘return’ to ‘your home’ in Israel!
When the international community gave the Palestinians money for building infrastructure like waste treatment plants or power stations, they built mansions for PA and Hamas officials.
Hamas took cement for rebuilding homes after the last war and used it to line attack tunnels. The only area in which they have shown any initiative is getting attention by killing people.
Do you see the difference here? The Jews really wanted a state. They were ready to sacrifice and struggle for it. They took advantage of the aid that was available and used it to build something. The Arabs aren’t even trying. All they want is to destroy our state.
The ‘Palestinians’ have contributed nothing to the world except violent terrorism since they invented themselves in order to oppose Jewish sovereignty some 60 years ago. It’s time to start weaning them off welfare. If they can switch from stabbing to state-building, then they should go for it. In any case, the world can’t afford to keep feeding them.

THE FORGOTTEN REFUGEES - More than half of Israeli Jews have deep roots in the Middle East - And a million of them arrived as refugees fleeing persecution and violence in Arab countries.

We hear a lot about Palestinian refugees, but not much about a million Jewish refugees from Arab lands who lost all their possessions and fled to Israel.  Here is their story.

Mizrahi Nation
Yemenite Jews on their way to Israel in 1949 fleeing Arab violence.
MIZRAHI NATION  -  Long shut out of the country’s story, Middle Eastern Jews now make up half of Israel’s population, influencing its culture in surprising ways. Who are they?
  • The typical Israeli pioneer is thought to be a European-looking Jew.
  •  Thus Israel is accused of being a European colony for Holocaust survivors.
  • Rarely mentioned is the million Jews who returned to Israel from Arab lands.
  • And no word is said about the oppression and murderous Arab violence they were fleeing from.
  • Or about their possessions, which were lost without compensation.
  • In the 1940s there were about 260,000 Jews living in Morocco, 140,000 in Algeria, 40,000 in Libya, 140,000 in Iraq, 80,000 in Egypt, 60,000 in Yemen, and many others in Arab countries and in non-Arab countries like Iran and Turkey.
  • In fact, 1,000 years after the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem, nine out of every ten Jews on earth still lived in the Middle East.
  • By the time European Jews began resettling in Palestine, as it was known then, Middle Eastern Jews were already well-established there.
  • The notion that Arabs were tolerant of Jews in Muslim countries is a complete myth.
  • Long before the reconstitution of the state of Israel in 1948, Arabs were already slaughtering Jews.
  • While Mizrahi Jews were not native to Israel, neither were most of the Arabs who came to live there attracted by jobs within the Jewish community there.
  • Mizrahi Jews were not well treated by the European Jews, who looked down on their culture.

The story of Israel, as most people know it, is well trod.

It begins with anti-Semitism in Europe and passes through Theodor Herzl, the Zionist pioneers, the kibbutz, socialism, the Holocaust, and the 1948 War of Independence.
In the early decades of the return to Zion and the new state, the image of the Israeli was of a blond pioneer tilling the fields shirtless, or of an audience listening to Haydn in one of the new concert halls. Israel might have been located, for historical reasons, in the Middle East, but the new country was an outpost of Europe. Its story was a story about Europe.

Why does Germany fund the demonization of Israel?

By Gerald Steinberg

Instead of feeble and insensitive excuses, Germany has a fundamental responsibility to stop all support for the political war demonizing Israel.

In speech after speech, German leaders restate their country’s “moral and historic responsibility” toward Israel and the Jewish people after the Holocaust.

Islam's tenuous connection to Jerusalem
by Eli E. Hertz

Jerusalem is never mentioned in the Quran and Mohammed never set foot on Its soil.
Despite 1,300 years of Muslim Arab rule, Jerusalem was never the capital of an Arab entity, nor was it ever mentioned in the Palestine Liberation Organization’s covenant until Israel regained control of East Jerusalem in the Six-Day War of 1967.  Overall, the role of Jerusalem in Islam is best understood as the outcome of political exigencies impacting religious belief.
Mohammed, who founded Islam in 622 CE, was born and raised in present-day Saudi Arabia and never set foot in Jerusalem. His connection to the city came years after his death when the Dome of the Rock shrine and the al-Aqsa mosque were built in 688 and 691, respectively, their construction spurred by political and religious rivalries.
In 638 CE, the Caliph (or successor to Mohammed) Omar and his invading armies captured Jerusalem from the Byzantine Empire.
Kotel at sunrise
One reason they wanted to erect a holy structure in Jerusalem was to proclaim Islam’s supremacy over Christianity and its most important shrine, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
More important was the power struggle within Islam itself. The Damascus-based Umayyad Caliphs who controlled Jerusalem wanted to establish an alternative holy site if their rivals blocked access to Mecca.
That was important because the Hajj, or pilgrimage to Mecca, was (and remains today) one of the Five Pillars of Islam. As a result, they built what became known as the Dome of the Rock shrine and the adjacent mosque.
To enhance the prestige of the ‘substitute Mecca,’ the Jerusalem mosque was named al-Aqsa. It means ‘the furthest mosque’ in Arabic, but has far broader implications, since it is the same phrase used in a key passage of the Quran called “The Night Journey.”
In that passage, Mohammed arrives at ‘al-Aqsa’ on a winged steed accompanied by the Archangel Gabriel; from there they ascend into heaven for a divine meeting with Allah, after which Mohammed returns to Mecca.
Naming the Jerusalem mosque al-Aqsa was an attempt to say the Dome of the Rock was the very spot from which Mohammed ascended to heaven, thus tying Jerusalem to divine revelation in Islamic belief.
The problem however, is that Mohammed died in the year 632, nearly 50 years before the first construction of the al-Aqsa Mosque was completed.
Jerusalem never replaced the importance of Mecca in the Islamic world. When the Umayyad dynasty fell in 750, Jerusalem also fell into near obscurity for 350 years, until the Crusades. During those centuries, many Islamic sites in Jerusalem fell into disrepair and in 1016 the Dome of the Rock collapsed.
Still, for 1,300 years, various Islamic dynasties (Syrian, Egyptian and Turkish) continued to govern Jerusalem as part of their overall control of the Land of Israel, disrupted only by the Crusaders.
What is amazing is that over that period, not one Islamic dynasty ever made Jerusalem its capital.
By the 19th century Jerusalem had been so neglected by Islamic rulers that several prominent Western writers who visited Jerusalem were moved to write about it.
French writer Gustav Flaubert, for example, found “ruins everywhere” during his visit in 1850 when it was part of the Turkish Empire (1516-1917).
Seventeen years later Mark Twain wrote that Jerusalem had “become a pauper village.”
Indeed, Jerusalem’s importance in the Islamic world only appears evident when non-Muslims (including the Crusaders, the British and the Jews) control or capture the city. Only at those points in history did Islamic leaders claim Jerusalem as their third most holy city after Mecca and Medina.
That was again the case in 1967, when Israel captured Jordanian-controlled East Jerusalem (and the Old City) during the 1967 Six-Day War.
Oddly, the PLO’s National Covenant, written in 1964, never mentioned Jerusalem.
Only after Israel regained control of the entire city did the PLO ‘update’ its Covenant to include Jerusalem.

Why the Left does not understand the Arab war against Israel.

French Hill, Jerusalem

By Lee S. Bender and Jerome R. Verlin, Algemeiner

Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz likes to say that if you are for civil rights, women’s rights, gay rights, minority rights, basic freedoms of speech, press, association, open democracy, and an independent judiciary, there is only one country in the Middle East that espouses those values you support: Israel. And he is absolutely correct.
But there appears to be a major disconnect among American Jews.  Today, too many Jewish Americans are ambivalent about Israel, or even openly hostile towards it, believing erroneously  that Israel acts in ways that contradict their “progressive” or “liberal” ideals.   Jews are even at the forefront of some of the most vicious anti-Israel organizations in the U.S.
This subversion of American Jewish support for Israel has been one of the greatest accomplishments of the elements that seek to deny the Jewish people their right to sovereignty in the one tiny Jewish state on the planet.
The writer Peter Beinart has seemingly made a career out of arguing that Israel has forced American Jews to choose between their liberalism and Zionism. But this is incorrect. The truth is that a perversion of liberalism is making some American Jews into the “new anti-Semites.
When did this start? After the Six Day War, Yasser Arafat was advised by the Soviets to turn the story around: instead of there being a small Jewish state standing up against the “Goliath” of a racist, genocidal Arab-Muslim world, he was told to present the conflict as the struggle between Israel, and its victims – the powerless ‘Palestinians.’
It did not matter that this required a major warping of history – all of a sudden, Arabs from Syria, Jordan, or Egypt who had been in Palestine for perhaps one or two generations were now to be presented as the remnants of a millennia-old ‘Palestinian’ civilization.

On the other hand, Israelis, where Jews have lived for three millennia, and which absorbed more indigenous Middle Eastern Jews from vast Arab lands than Arabs left tiny Israel, were now portrayed as post-Holocaust European “colonialists.”
This fit in flawlessly with the civil rights movement in the U.S., and the decolonization movements throughout the world.
Incredibly, this language of “civil rights” reached its zenith with the 1975 ‘Zionism is racism’ resolution in the UN, and then at the UN-sponsored 2001 Durban Conference in which Israel was accused of being an ‘apartheid state.’ The rhetoric was so intense that large numbers were ready to believe the worst things about Israel, with virtually no proof or evidence.
The degree of animus against Israel on the Left has become so vast that it is disjointed not only from the facts, but from logic.

Natan Sharansky has described “the Three Ds:”
Israel is demonized, such that every accusation against her is believed (i.e. the medieval Jews were accused of poisoning wells and making matzah from Christian blood).

A double standard is applied, such that Israel’s every action in self-defense is subjected to microscopic scrutiny (to the exclusion of the horrendous human rights violations committed by other countries, including many in the Arab-Muslim world).

Finally, Israel is delegitimized, such that its enemies argue that its evil is so inherent that (unlike every other country in the world), it should not even exist.
Palestine Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has unequivocally stated that Israelis will not be welcome in the new “Palestinian” state. Even though Arabs living in Israel have far more rights than in any other Arab country, it is Israel that is accused of apartheid, racism, and ethnic cleansing.
Frankly, the Palestinian Arabs should be celebrating their dumb luck that they happen to live next to and among Jews in Israel, where biology trumps ideology, and where Israel’s actions don’t mirror how they are treated by the Palestinian Arabs: with acts of terrorism, hatred, and glorification of murderers.
If the Palestinians lived anywhere else in the Arab and Muslim world they would be persecuted and the media and world would not report nor care about their fate. That is really how most of the rest of their so-called Arab brethren treat them – as political pawns and pariahs in their war on the Jews.
Peace is a long way away. It’s not helped by the moral narcissists and useful idiots on the Left. Too many on the Left, including in academia, engage in Stockholm syndrome, becoming emotionally attached to and sympathetic with the victimizers, the terrorists (who, ironically, would slit their throats if given the chance).
The status quo is far from ideal. But all of the alternatives to date are existentially dangerous to Israel. The onus must be on the Palestinian-Arabs to prove they truly are interested in recognition and peaceful co-existence with Israel. For the past 66 years, they have in fact proved the exact opposite.
The Left’s jealousy and envy of Israel’s amazing success and humanitarian accomplishments; their self-hatred; failure to listen to what the Judeo-Christian world’s enemies advocate; appeasing them; excusing them is breathtakingly presumptuous and arrogant.

Discrimination and abuse against Palestinians by Arab countries

Christian Arabs, persecuted by Muslim Palestinians, demonstrate in favor of Israel

Americans, particularly those of us with liberal inclinations, think of Arab peoples as persecuted minorities who are struggling, to this day, to free themselves from the ongoing social and economic implications of western imperial and colonial aggression in the Middle East.

For centuries white-Anglo westerners dominated that part of the world and, therefore, progressives who care about universal human rights are not surprised at the Arab push-back, including the Palestinian-Arab push-back against Israel.

Certainly those of us who marched against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan largely perceived the peoples of those countries as innocent victims of western and American hostility. We understood that those wars were racist wars that needlessly slaughtered innocent Arabs in number of lives going to at least the hundreds of thousands, if not considerably more.

What we tend not to appreciate in the United States is that the great Arab-Muslim nation was one of the foremost imperial endeavors within recorded human history. The Arab peoples are not merely pawns batted around by powerful, racist, white westerners, but peoples with long and proud histories that cannot be reduced to a demeaning history of victimhood.

The following notions refer to attitudes regarding Israel, but the concept of personal responsibility in dealing with evil  is universal.  We can confront evil, we can endorse it, or we can remain silent.
Those who endorse evil actions cannot be dismissed with the excuse that they lack awareness or understanding of the situation, or that their flawed psychological makeup compels them to think that way.  They too are responsible, no matter what their motivations.
Similarly, those who remain silent or passive in face of evil also share culpability and become part of the evil perpetrated itself.   They clear the way for the easy passage of those actions.
You may skip the introduction and go to right to the columns discussed on this post.
The issue discussed below is Jewish attitudes towards the existence of Israel, the rightful and ancient land of the Jewish people.
Jewish attitudes range all the way from rejection of its legitimacy - to advocacy for the surrender of Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem to create an Arab terror state - to the defense of that heartland as historically and legally belonging to Israel - to outright passivity in letting government administrators decide.
All that in a setting of ongoing terror, where Arabs swear every day to destroy Israel and the Jews, and with the present PA leadership regarding the partial takeover of Israel - what they call the future state of Palestine - as only a phase in their plan for the complete conquest of all of Israel.
One of the following writers rejects outright those Jews who delegitimize the very existence of Israel.  But he has a soft spot for those who endorse its partition, regarding them as simply misguided.
Partition is not an option.
It would leave the country even more vulnerable that it was in 1967, when Arab countries attacked Israel.  Those countries were not as well armed and trained as they are now, thanks to the United States that has provided them with the latest war technology and armaments, and the best training available at United States facilities.  (Draw your own conclusions.)
It would leave Israel only nine miles wide at some point.  Its neighbor would not be Jordan but the Islamic State of Palestine, rife with Islamist factions that have sworn to destroy Israel.  Palestine would be within sight of Israeli communities, vulnerable to snipers and rockets.  Tunneling into Israel to kill men, women and children would be another horrifying prospect.
The Palestinian Authority is already cultivating warm relations with Iran, which is on its way to become a nuclear state (facilitated by the United States government).  Nuclear states inspire respect (just look at North Korea) and no Western country would risk annoying Iran with even the notion of protecting Israel.  Russia recently took over Crimea, with barely a grumble from the West, although both the US and the UK had signed a solemn agreement promising to protect Ukrainian borders.
The west bank (and Gaza too once it becomes part or associate of that Palestinian state) - would become Iranian enclaves armed to the teeth, threatening not only Israel but the whole Middle East.
The United States government has for decades pushed for partition - completely disregarding the consequences.  Why it does so is open to speculation.  Republican and Democrat presidents have pursued this partition, and have already achieved the surrender of Sinai - which is now a nest of Islamic terror, and of Gaza, a dysfunctional entity that feeds on hate for Israel and foreign aid.
So, in face of such a clear situation  you would think that Jews all over the world would rally behind Israel's right to Judea and Samaria - whether for historical, religious, legal or security reasons.  But they don't.  Actually, some of the most vocal enemies of Israel are individuals with Jewish roots.  I hesitate to call them Jews.
The Diaspora is generally favorable to partition.  Many are liberally-minded individuals who like to be part of the crowd that clamors against occupation.  They feel a little less Jewish that way.
But many Israelis too endorse partition.  Their reasons are varied, but they can all be classified under "excuses".  They have experienced first hand what the Palestinians are all about, and still they choose to give them the Jewish heartland.
The vast majority of Israelis - regardless of where they stand over the issue - remain passive.  They have allowed their government - mere administrators - to make decisions about Israel's borders that will have catastrophic consequences not only for Israel but for all world Jews.
This passivity is also part of the wave of evil that threatens the land.
If the above reminds you of the choices Germans had when Nazi thugs became part of their government, with a leader who had written about his plans to exterminate Jews - that's not coincidental.  But Israelis seem oblivious to this similarity, as they are to the fact that the Palestinian Arabs, through their leader, the Mufti of Jerusalem, were part of the design and implementation of the Final Solution.
How can Jews be agitating for handing over Jewish land to Arab Nazis is perhaps the greatest irony in all of human history.
Israeli media posted two separate articles today that are unintendedly connected, although they come from writers with different very levels of awareness about the issue of Jewish attitude towards evil.
Israel and the Jewish Moral Narcissists by Lawrence J. Epstein attempts to expose Jews who, to put in very simple terms,  choose to side with the enemy.  Why do they do it?
He separates them between those who are downright bad people, and we don't need to bother analyzing them, he says,
... some Jews who are outright opponents of a Jewish state in the Land of Israel. They are hostile to the Zionist enterprise, and they simply need to be opposed not analyzed. It is not worthwhile to engage with them because their hostility is immune to honest debate.
and those who are nice Jews but support the Arabs because they are misguided or have personal psychological issues.
... some Jews whose differences with Israel have more to do with their own psychology than with Israel’s policies. They are worth thinking about.
Epstein, calls them "moral narcissists".
Moral narcissists have a desire for and profound need for moral purity in an impure world. They eschew military power because such power hurts others, because they see power itself as inherently evil or the instrument to enable evil to rule. They are therefore unsurprisingly unhappy with Israel’s application of such power.
They feel guilty that Jews aren’t victims but victors. They are intensely proud of famous dead Jews for such Jews are simultaneously sources of pride and safely beyond the point of embarrassing them with disagreements.
They are so guilty about the supposed crimes Jews and the West committed against Islam, that they are blind to or justify various evil acts committed by the Arab world.
But in the end Epstein excuses these ones by saying
It is cruel to call these people what they are, but the danger they cause requires it.  They are useful idiots, not fully aware that they serve the cause of those who oppose Israel’s existence. Those opponents use these well-meaning, often very kind Jews in a cynical way to undermine the Jewish state.
It is time that these good Jews see Israel’s enemies for what they are. In that way, their morality can become genuine and, while their purity may be tainted by reality, they will have attained a true morality.
"Not fully aware"?  By excusing them and attributing their treason to convoluted psychological reasons Epstein is basically doing the same thing that traitors do when they refuse to acknowledge the terrorist nature of the Palestinian movement, its Nazi history and ideology, and its explicit goal of killing Jews and destroying Israel.
So there you have two main opposite groups making excuses for the inexcusable.
Lee Kaplan, an investigative journalist who has advised the Israeli government with his intelligence research, had this to say about Epstein's column on the comments section:
Good Article but Epstein is naïve
He still thinks that a lot of these people are really good at heart and mean well; nobody is evil. I have gone undercover to training meetings of so-called Jews who support BDS and the destruction of Israel. These are supervised by Arabs and no matter what proof you show them about something they will insist it's a lie. At the same time they teach an encourage each other to lie, the "end justifies the means". They engage in Groupthink and the mantra is destroy Israel by any means necessary. Yes, they are evil. Sami Awad who slit a Jewish infant's throat is being presented on US campuses as an innocent victim of Israeli "oppression".
Despite Awad's confession these phony Jews run around calling for his release. Yes, Mr. Epstein, there are truly evil people, not well-meaning narcissists..

The other column, Should the People of Israel become the Jews of Silence by David Bedein takes issue with Israelis who - in spite of first-hand familiarity with Arab terror and knowledge of the roots of  Palestinian Nationalism - are passively silent as their own government calls for the partition of Israel to create another Arab terror state next to Jewish towns.
Bedein quotes from activist and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel, who wrote The Jews of Silence, where he described two kinds of silence:  Jews in the Diaspora who were silent about the fate of their brethren in the USSR, and the Jews who were silenced in the USSR itself.

Then Bedein recalls what Elie Wiesel said at a Philadelphia school commencement address on the night of June 6, 1967, the 2nd night of the Six Day War, following a three week siege permeated with Arab threats of total destruction which frightened the Jewish world to its very soul.
Wiesel tossed out his prepared text, and addressed “an Israel that stood alone” in May 1967, (a time when it was clear that Arab nations were ready to pounce on Israel, and no country came to Israel's aid).
Wiesel said that the moments of trepidation in May 1967 brought him back to World War II. when Jews stood alone and to the fate of his family in the crematoria -  when no one cared, and when few spoke out when it counted.   Wiesel's message that night was that the Jews are indeed alone. which meant that they cannot be silent in the face of overwhelming odds.

Similarly these days, when we are well aware of the Palestinian agenda, and increasing virulent anti-Semitism in Europe and other places, some Jews continue to indulge in denial of the obvious and support plans that under the euphemism of "peace" are nothing but the surrender of the Jewish heartland to the enemy without even firing a shot.
Bedein is an investigative reporter and his website, Israel Behind the News, has published news reports and studies with facts and figures over the years exposing the "Peace Partner" and the "Peace Process" as deceitful and clear threats to Israel's survival.  He writes:
The Palestinian Authority does not mask its genocidal purpose, to wipe out the state of of Israel and to replace it with an Arab Palestine.

All you have to do is to watch PA TV, listen to PA radio, read PA newspapers  peruse PA school books and follow all publc statements of the PA. Most people in Israel prefer not to see the PA as it is.
Most people do not even know that the Arab League pioneered the creation of the PLO to join the continuing 1948 war to exterminate the entity that is  Israel.

The people of Israel do not have a peace partner.

Most people in Israel prefer not to see the PA as it is.  That is indeed a frightening statement, considering that what is at stake is the survival of the country and of the Jewish people.
Without Israel Jews could very easily be rounded up and exterminated once again.  The signs are all there.

They are in the visceral hatred against Jews that is resurging in Europe, both from the fascist right and European Islam.

And in the United States government, where sympathies to Islam grew, not diminished, after the 9/11 attacks.  At the same time the US ruling elite watch their country, once a superpower that inspired fear and respect, decline both in the economic and international political spheres and realize that even if they wanted to, they can't protect Israel any longer.
Israel stands alone.

And in such a crucial moment in several thousands years of Jewish civilization it is heart-wrenching to see how so many Jews in Israel and in the Diaspora choose to side with evil - whatever their excuse may be.

Where in this ongoing war of physical and psychological Arab terror is it that Jews find a sign that what they want is to live in peace, when not even Arabs can live in peace with one another.  Just watch what is happening in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and other places, and in their own communities, with parents killing their own children in the name of "honor".

This Ongoing War - a website about Arab terror

For a people who lost 6 millions at the hands of Nazis and collaborators, it is indeed ironic that they are now ready to give up their Biblical heartland for the creation of a Nazi Arab state.
